AGdD Online-Training: Applying Successfully for a Job in English

Our seminars and webinars are meeting places especially for (former) development workers from all the service agencies, where they can meet each other, work together, and support each other in addressing their own particular issues.

After spending several years on assignment for the development services, the time comes for all professionals to return home to Germany or elsewhere in the EU. The process of returning, like the preparation phase, is part of the development service as a whole. The Reintegration Programme of the Association of German Development Services (AGdD)* provides advice and supports professionals in making career decisions when they return from their assignments. This programme is available to professionals from all seven development service providers (EhfG).

What about the training?

International organizations and NGOs,  and also consulting companies often demand an application in English. We offer helpful tips on how to produce a conclusive resume (CV) and write cover letters or personal statements. You will receive information on application procedures and recruitment processes in various contexts. As part of the preparation, you will have the opportunity to participate in a simulated job interview.

The Online-Training will be in English and takes place on two dates, with exercises between our online-meetings. Your participation on both dates is desirable.

  • Module 1: January 18th 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00  p.m. (MEZ)
  • Module 2: February 8th 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00  p.m. (MEZ)

We will use ZOOM for our webinar. Please check the ZOOM-Website for more information on security and data protection. After your registration on www.agdd.de/seminare we will send you the meeting information via email.
